relax between screenings. Hosted by the Salt Lake Convention &
Visitors Bureau, the Festival Café features live jazz music
every night and provides computer terminals with internet access
so that visitors can check their e-mail or find festival highlights.
Locals–Only Ticket Sales
Ticket sales for local residents will take place on January 7–8,
2006 (prior to going on sale to the general public). Wristbands
will be distributed on January 6. There are some changes to the
locals’ box office procedures that will make tickets accessible
to a wider range of filmgoing audiences.
In Salt Lake City or Park City:
Local “Festival Kick-Off” gatherings on Friday, January
6, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Main Box Offices in
Park City (Gateway Center) and Salt Lake City (Trolley Square).
Once you arrive, show a valid Utah ID to receive a randomly distributed
wristband (based on availability).
The number on your wristband will correspond to a time slot, during
which you can return to purchase your actual tickets (also based
on availability).
Return during your assigned time on January 7 or 8 (Saturday or
Sunday) to purchase tickets from the available ticket pool.
In Ogden and at the Sundance Resort:
You can purchase local tickets the same weekend (January 7 &
8) for screenings at their respective locations only. Simply stop
by the Festival Box Office at Peery’s Egyptian Theatre in
Ogden from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m or at the Sundance Resort Screening Room
Lobby from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday to make your
selections. No wristbands are required.
Wristband Conditions:

will not be reissued. Wristbands cannot be removed or tampered with.
To receive a wristband, you must have a photo ID (driver’s
license, high school ID, or college ID), the ability to choose films
yourself, and the means to pay for the tickets you choose. If you
do not have a Utah driver’s license, you will be required
to present a Utah utility bill, accompanied by a photo ID. You may
purchase a maximum of 20 tickets per person, with a limit of 4 per
screening.
ANYONE CAN PURCHASE TICKETS THROUGH NATIONAL INDIVIDUAL TICKET
SALES (web or phone sales only)

and phone number to use when purchasing your tickets. You may purchase
a maximum of 20 tickets with a limit of 4 per screening. There is
a $5.00 per order convenience fee for all phone orders. Your purchase
date will fall during the second week of January. NOTE: This process
is separate from Locals-Only Box Office ticket sales. You may participate
in both local and national sales.
Salt Lake City Expands Festival Events
In an effort to increase the presence of the Sundance Film Festival
in Salt Lake City, UT, organizers have announced that they will
launch a new 'Festival District' in the city's downtown area at
the upcoming event. The new site will be anchored by two movie theaters
that will present two screenings each weeknight of the festival
(January 19 - 29, 2006) and a full program of showings on the weekend.
